After some delay, finally I am able to post some pics of my latest classical guitar to come off the bench. EIR back and sides and bindings, BRW bridge, Englemann top with slight grain figure, ebony fretboard (650mm) mahogany neck, schaler tuners. Finish is a French polish. Blonde and orange on the top and orange and garnet on everything else. This guitar was built from an LMI kit along with my students in my classical guitar building class Spring semester. update: I post the pics but they are not uploading correctly. I will try again later. |

Wow, outstanding job Robbie! Now I know why I bought all your DVD's. I can't wait for summer to arrive so I'll have plenty of time to get back to work. Cheers! John |

you are going to laugh about my lighting... all it is is me holding a halogen work light in my left hand and moving it around until I get just the right angle and then clicking the picture with my right hand. I shoot about 150 to 200 pics in about 10 minutes and then pick the best ones. |

Robbie, Is the sound port standard on all your guitars? It keeps turning up, and you obviously value its contribution to your sound, no? Steve |

I've played Robbie's guitars and they do sound nice. The sound port really helps with projection. We've done tests in the class where we cover the port with your hand and play at the same strength of strum and you notice a big decrease in sound as a player. Both out front of the guitar and to the player, the opening of the port increases the sound quite a bit. I think they are worth the small extra effort. That's my .02! Tracy |

I have been playing around with this soundport thing for quite a while now and I definitely feel that it enhances the sound quality on both my classical and steel string guitars. |

Bob, its not the Anigre set....I have that waiting for a special guitar...maybe the new classical. This one is walnut. Serge, I sprayed at first but was getting too many runs so I ended up applying with a brush. |
